The track of the eye of Hurricane San...Dear Dale: <br /><br />The track of the eye of Hurricane Sandy passed very close to our house. <br /><br />The initial projections called for 24 to 36 hours of 50 to 100 km/h sustained winds with gusts up to 125 km/h. Rainfall amounts were predicted to be 20 to 25 cm.<br /><br />But, we "dodged the bullet." The Jet Stream both strengthened and expedited Sandy's passage through our area. <br /><br />What we got was just shy of 12 hours of intense wind and rain.
