Hybrid Greenhouse Cucumber Carmen

Hybrid Cucumber Carmen, originally uploaded by Campobello Island.

Hybrid Cucumber Carmen grown under lights in my house. This is the third one that I've picked and there are lots more coming along behind this one. I wondered if this would work and am pleased that it is working. I love these "English Cucumbers" and they go for $2.00 each in the stores around here in the winter. They taste as good as the ones I grow in the greenhouse in the summer but I don't think they are as dark a green.

How very interesting to be able to grow cucumbers under lights! Do they taste as good as ones growing under a sunlight?

Yes taste and texture appear to be the same as ones that I have grown in the greenhouse but I think they are not as dark green in colour.
