Chicks Exploring the Great Big World
The 12 Chantecler Chicks and the 5 mixed breed bantam chicks are out for their first time to free range and explore the bigger world.
Crown Peas, Sweet Potatoes, Lavender and more
A short update of the garden and hoop house. First time I've grown Crown peas very surprised to see why it is called the Crown Pea. The lavender is in full bloom and full of bees. The two new raised beds with Sweet Potatoes, Endive, Parsnips and Salsify are doing very well. In the hoop house a look at the first tomatoes starting to ripen, the onions, peppers and the grapes.

Chickens and Garden
Wow what a learning curve the GoPro is a very small camera but incredibly complex and powerful. Day one and of course I just had to try it out. Hopefully future videos will be better produced. From what I see now I will likely mix clips from my regular camcorder with clips from the GoPro as both have features which I like and are exclusive to the particular camera. Bare with me please LOL.

Clearing off
My first little clip with the GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition, whatever all that means. We have just come through three days of rain with two major thunderstorms so I did a time-lapse of the clouds starting to clear away. One frame every 2 seconds with the wide angle lens. No sound track.

Excerpts from Meetings of the Standing Committee on Finance:
Testimony by Invited Witnesses
May 13-14, 2014 (Meetings 34 and 35)
Statements by Committee MPs and Final Vote on Amendments
May 29, 2014 (Meeting 39)
Despite claims by Canada's Finance Minister, Canadian citizens are directly impacted by FATCA - the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act - an American law about to be imposed on Canadian citizens resident in Canada - with the blessing of our own federal government.
On Canada Day - July 1st - our nation will begin to surrender its sovereignty and citizens to the United States as FATCA becomes reality.
Sound incredible? Here are some exchanges from the House of Commons Finance Committee.
