India lawmakers kick and punch collegue who served beef at party

Lawmakers from India's ruling Hindu nationalist party in Kashmir kicked and punched an independent member of the state assembly on Thursday for hosting a party where he served beef.

Hindus consider cows to be sacred, and slaughtering the animals is banned in most Indian states.

Bharatiya Janata Party members beat lawmaker Rashid Ahmed, a Muslim, in the assembly soon after its session began Thursday.

Tear gas fired inside Kosovo parliament

A Kosovo parliamentary session has resumed following a break of 30 minutes, when opposition MPs interrupted blowing whistles to disrupt speakers and firing tear gas inside the parliament building.

With the addition of six small Espelette peppers I had enough to make two batches of Hot pepper jelly, six 500ml jars. I use my dried Thai chillies instead of jalapeño peppers and quite a lot of it so mine is fiery hot great with cream cheese on crackers or bagels.

The Method:

Ingredients:
390 g finely chopped red bell
peppers
185 g finely chopped green bell
peppers
20 g finely chopped jalapeno
peppers
235 ml apple cider vinegar
50 g powdered pectin
1000 g white sugar
Directions:
1. Sterilize 6 (8 ounce) canning jars and lids according to manufacturer's instructions. Heat water in a hot water canner.
2. Place red bell peppers, green bell peppers, and jalapeno peppers in a large saucepan over high heat. Mix in vinegar and fruit pectin. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a full rolling boil. Quickly stir in sugar. Return to full rolling boil, and boil exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and skim off any foam.
3. Quickly ladle jelly into sterile jars, filling to within 1/4 inch of the tops. Cover with flat lids, and screw on bands tightly.
4. Place jars in rack, and slowly lower jars into canner. The water should cover the jars completely, and should be hot but not boiling. Bring water to a boil, and process for 5 minutes.

Well this has been a pleasant surprise I put this video up at midnight last night and in the first 8 hours it has received 27,000 views and is still receiving around 3,000 new views per house. There is always a discrepancy between the counter that the public can see on the video but I have never seen such a big one as there is this morning around 11,000 on the public counter and 27,000 on the realtime counter that only the channel owner can see. The closest that I have ever come to a viral video.

9-metre-long shark washes up on Maine beach

A large basking shark, measuring around nine metres, washed ashore in Lubec, Maine, yesterday (September 2) at 5am.

Despite the efforts of ten locals, who spent several hours gathering water in buckets and pouring it over the shark’s gills in an attempt to keep it alive, the animal later died.
